Recruit Policy

1. New recruits should be of at least 10th season, to show somewhat of a commitment to Family and game. They should also know both guild languages, Human and Elvish (feel free to ask any of us to teach you)

If you meet someone who has shown themselves to be noble, honorable, and of like-mind to the Crusaders, feel free to speak to them about ourselves and direct them to Aterian, our Keeper of the laws, or a Thunder Council member.

2. Aterian or the Thunder Council member will give them a brief overview of our tennets of faith and expected conduct, then direct them to our website and message board.

3. You must enter our home hall (channel Thunderwraith) and be there every time you are awake in the lands for 2 weeks to 1 month, depending on how often you are awake. This is so that you will get to know us, and we to know you. We may help you with a hunt sometimes, in order that we learn each other more. You must find one of the Crusaders to sponsor you, and they will be responsible for assuring that you do indeed know our laws. No Crusader shall sponsor more than one initiate at any time. In your introducion letter, you should put who is sponsoring you.

4. Should you still wish to join, post an introduction letter (to post a letter on the message board, your account name SHOULD BE YOUR CHARACTER NAME)
Your letter of introduction should include: name, race, class, season, God worshipped, expansions you have and why you think Crusaders would be a good Family for you.

5. You may then begin your two entrance tests. The first: Go to Trade Commissioner Henry in Shadowhaven. He is found in the building next to the Paludal Cavern tunnel. Follow the directions he gives you. When you have received your "Amulet of the Haven", show it to a Council member to gain your Recruit tag. Go post upon the board that it has been completed, and your second quest will be given to you (under your post, usually within a couple of days). You have one month to complete the second quest to become a full Crusader.

6. The recruit should then register immediately on our roster at Guildmagic, as well as give to a Council member the address at which they can be sent Family letters (ooc.. email address)

You must read all of the following and abide by all of the rules and standards listed here.

Crusaders of Thunder is a Good Only Roleplay Family on EverQuest's Firiona Vie server. Our main goal is to play the game of EQ and roleplay as we do it.

We are open to all "good" races and classes.

We are more about being a Family that walks with honor, than about sheer numbers.

Good is defined as members of the following races:
Barbarian
Dwarf
Elves (High,Wood,Half)
Erudite
Gnome
Halfling
Human
Vah Shir

All members applying must worship a good deity. Vah Shir will be accepted or rejected on a case by case basis, as will Agnostics.  True Scouts (who do NOT use backstab, poison, or pickpocketing) may be allowed, while Rogues (who DO use those skills) will not.

Basically, we want folks that roleplay their character as good
We want to raid, we want to hunt, we want to roleplay, we want to see the high end game, and we do not want to group with "evil" races and classes to get there

WE ARE A FAMILY FOR THOSE WHO LIKED THE WAY THE SERVER WORKED WITH THE ALIGNMENTS PRIOR TO MAY 8, 2002 AND WISH TO PLAY THAT WAY

We do not want to sit in a bar in Felwithe or somewhere and chat for 2 months.
We will roleplay as we battle
We will upgrade our equipment and gain experience and strength together and do it all "in character"

Crusaders of Thunder is a Family guild. We are exclusive about who we recruit so that members can feel secure about their brothers and sisters

If you want to see everything that there is to see in EverQuest and roleplay a good character while you do it, Crusaders of Thunder is the Family for you

If you are willing to devote some time to this goal, for it will take longer to grow and prosper as a Family of roleplayers, then Crusaders of Thunder is the Family for you

If you wish to form the most "convenient" groups, to hunt with Darkelves and Iksar, then Crusaders of Thunder is not for you.

We will not berate anyone for how they choose to play the game or what they wish to do on Firiona Vie, but we will roleplay, and we WILL save Norrath

Being a roleplay Family means that some races and classes are never accepted (unless the Test of Evil is passed)

By enrolling with the Crusaders of Thunder, you agree not to group with any "evil" classes or races intentionally. If you do join a group, and a Highelf enchanter turns out to be a Darkelf one, we ask that you roleplay the situation accordingly and relocate to another group

PLEASE, IF YOU CANNOT ABIDE BY OUR RULES AND STANDARDS, DO NOT JOIN THIS FAMILY
